In loving memory of Lulu
Just over 20 years ago we went to the Cat Protection Society to adopt a kitten.
There were so many gorgeous, playful, cute kittens to choose from, but one stood out from all the others (and she actually adopted us).
She was a tiny white and grey kitten who had been abandoned by her mother in Marrickville Metro’s carpark.
She barely survived.
She was so tiny that she fitted in the palm of our hands.
Her name was Lulu.
For 20 years she brought so much joy, laughter and love into our home and ran our household with a firm yet friendly paw.
Fully grown she weighed just on 3kg … that’s how tiny she was.
She was forever our little kitten!
Last Monday we had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to her as she had feline dementia and kidney disease.
She may be gone, but she will be forever in our hearts.
All her remaining food and cat paraphernalia we donated back to the Cat Protection Society in loving memory of our fur baby.
Lulu would have wanted it that way.
