Have your say on animal welfare reform
In August the Hon Adam Marshall, Minister for Agriculture, released the NSW Animal Welfare Reform Discussion Paper for public comment.
Consultation has been extended until Friday 17 September 2021.
You can make a written submission, respond to the online survey, or both.
Click here to go to the NSW Department of Primary Industries website for links to the discussion paper and survey.
We encourage everyone with an interest in animal welfare to make a submission; it’s vital that animals receive legal protections against cruelty and neglect, as well as legal standards that actively promote their health, welfare and wellbeing.
We will share our submission when completed. Meanwhile, you can read our submission to an earlier stage of the welfare review here.
The survey is quite technical and narrow in scope. Please note, you don’t need to answer every question and there is scope for ‘other ideas or comments’ at the end, or alternatively you might wish to email a submission.
Thank you for speaking up for our feline and other non-human animal friends!
