How Ebony turned Courtney into a cat person
My step-mum adopted our cat Ebony from the Cat Protection Society around 10 years ago when he was 2. I met him when he was 3 or 4. At first I was so scared of him I used to walk around the edge of the room just to avoid him, but eventually I grew to love him and adore his cuddles everyday. I always thought I’d be a dog person because they are cute and do a lot more than cats (to tell the truth), but actually, now that I have a puppy, who let me tell you, Ebony doesn’t take much of a liking to, I can probably say I’m actually a cat person.
Well… probably just an Ebony person, because Ebony is one unique cat.
Because he was abandoned in an apartment many years ago, he has separation anxiety so meows heaps! I love it though, if he didn’t meow, it wouldn’t be him! He purrs a lot to, and adores my cuddles (which are different from ordinary hugs!) and also loves his food and can get very aggressive towards it! – especially when my dog is around.
His favorite treats are feline Greenies! He goes crazy for them! Everywhere I put the packet he can find someway to get to it and then make a midnight feast of it by ripping it fully open and munching down the contents.
Now Ebony is 12 years old but hasn’t aged a bit. He still jumps over the fence, fights with every cat in the street, gulps down his food in less than a minute, sprays on almost every bush he sees and sleeps about 15 hours a day. But that’s what makes him absolutely purrfect!
We would just like to thank the Cat Protection Society for such a wonderful, loving, affectionate cat!
Thank you so much!
Courtney
