In loving memory of our “Nala Banana”
In March 2014, we adopted a happy little tabby kitten from the Cat Protection Society. We were told her nickname was “Funny Face” because one of her pupils was bigger than the other.
We named her Nala. She was our first baby.
We went on to adopt her first fur-brother, Meeko, from Cat Protection the following year, not long before finding our third cat, Lucky, in the street. Eventually we had two human babies, and Nala was with us throughout. She was incredibly affectionate, unflappable, and friendly.
She loved attention but adapted effortlessly to our growing family. We believe she always knew that she was extra special to us.
We were so lucky to have twelve and a half years with her, even though we wish she had longer. On Monday, 28 September, after a long period of living with kidney and bladder issues, Nala died at home, lying in her favourite spot in our living room while we cuddled her. The last thing she knew was how much we loved her.
We will always miss you, Nala Banana.
Isabel and Chris
