Edgar – adored and adorable
We brought Edgar home from the Cat Protection Society just before Christmas 2011. We were told he was a shy cat but he has been anything but. He is friendly with every new person that has dropped by to admire him. In Edgar’s eyes they are just another person to offer him love and affection. Almost everyone that has met him has offered to cat-sit if I ever need to go away, and there have been more than a couple of threats of cat theft.
He still purrs every time you pick him up – just like he did on the day I chose him. He is lots of fun to play with and provides hours of entertainment. I have nicknamed him ‘Jumps’ because he has really long legs and likes to propel himself into the air to catch whatever happens to be dangling at him.
All in all I think it is safe to say that we adore our Edgar and it would seem the feeling is mutual. Thank you to the Cat Protection Society for your advice and providing us with something to love so dear. Edgar would especially like to thank his foster mum Molly, for taking such good care of him before he found a permanent home. He says that he still misses her expert belly rubs!
