National Volunteer Week 2024
This National Volunteer Week we would like to highlight the amazing contributions of our volunteer teams and say a HUGE thank you to all the wonderful volunteers whose ongoing dedication and hard work is indispensable to Cat Protection.
This year’s theme, “Something for Everyone,” resonates deeply with our mission. Since our inception in 1958 as a small volunteer-run charity, we’ve been steadfastly dedicated to reducing the number of stray cats. Over the past 66 years, we’ve grown and expanded while remaining true to our vision—that every cat deserves a loving and responsible home.
Thanks to the tireless efforts and contributions of dedicated volunteers, we’ve established a best-practice, no-kill adoption shelter, ensuring that every cat and kitten in our care has the best possible chance to find their forever homes.
Through their unwavering dedication in our shelter, our volunteer team has laid the groundwork for our outreach into the broader community, including our Good Neighbour Project and the successful implementation of our Adopt-a-Stray program. This ensures that even more cats and kittens in NSW find the caring homes they deserve.
We could not do this without the amazing commitment of our volunteer teams.
Paws in the air for all our volunteers 🐾
