Feel the Rush

On 25/5/2011, we arrived at Cat Protection Society 15 minutes before it shuts hence we name him Rush. There were a few kittens running playfully around us and although time was not on our side, we were very calm. I pulled over a cover and there he was all by his lonesome.

We were informed he was the last of the four litters which have been adopted that same day and we knew we had to have him.

Oracle sees all

We adopted “Oracle” on Boxing Day.  She has settled in nicely with us, and does not seem to suffer any inconvenience from being blind in one eye.  Oracle is very playful, and loves her tinkling balls and scatching post.  She enjoys naps in her favourite chair, and is a very happy cat. She is a great companion and become an important member of our family.  We love her.

Mork calling Orson, come in Orson

I adopted my beautiful boy Rex from the Cat Protection seven years ago and lost him on May 8 2011. I didn’t feel like getting another cat but started to look at the Cat Protection site late last year just to see who was looking for a home. Edgar – adored and adorable

We brought Edgar home from the Cat Protection Society just before Christmas 2011. We were told he was a shy cat but he has been anything but. He is friendly with every new person that has dropped by to admire him. In Edgar’s eyes they are just another person to offer him love and affection. Almost everyone that has met him has offered to cat-sit if I ever need to go away, and there have been more than a couple of threats of cat theft.

Fizz & Blitz

On Boxing Day my husband and I adopted Fizz (little champagne and white girl, 10 weeks on adoption, who was rescued from a hoarders home) and Blitz (pure white male, 12 weeks at adoption, found on a construction site).

I just wanted to take this opportunity not only to thank Cat Protection for their amazing knowledge and support in the adoption process, but also for being the ones who helped make our family complete!

My Girl Sunset

Sunny came to live with me in September 2011.  She settled in quickly and we are now good friends.

She loves to have her ears and tummy rubbed, and purrs loudly showing her appreciation.

She has met the neighbours, their children, and even their dogs – such a friendly girl she gets on with everybody.

Dita’s Miraculous Tail

Dita has not had an easy life, born almost completely deaf, and dumped as a kitten, it is a wonder she managed to survive as a stray. She lived as a stray for a long time, until she was taken in by a nice man named Michael, who fed her and took care of her.

Not long after Michael adopted Dita, he noticed unusual lumps, discolouration, and scarring on her ears and nose.
