Annual General Meeting 23 November 2019

The following nominations have been received for the election of Appointed Directors, to be held at the AGM on 23 November 2019. Each nominee is eligible for election under the Constitution. There are three vacancies and three nominations:

Nerida, our Feline Services Manager and little kittens Bubble, Toil, and Trouble spent a wonderful morning with our friends at Balmain Cat Boarding. They were super excited to meet Sunrise’s Sam Mac and help spread the word on the importance of Early Age Desexing. Thanks to Sunrise and all the team at Balmain!

Our cats and kittens love their new apartments! The new units are more spacious and comfortable … you can read all about our renovations in the Winter issue of our member’s magazine Cat Affairs and below.

We are very excited to announce that our adoption centre will reopen for adoptions on Saturday 18 May.

To say thanks to all our wonderful customers for your patience while we were remodelling, we are having a huge sale with 10% off everything in our retail store.

Cat Protection was honoured to receive an award in the inaugural Companion Animal Rescue Awards earlier in the year. Our Good Neighbour Project won the Community Education and Outreach Program category, we are very grateful to be given the opportunity to spread the message of responsible cat ownership to a wider audience and be recognised amongst so many wonderful rescue groups. Jiminy was thrilled with the news and even more excited to receive some of the amazing prizes.

This year we’re celebrating 60 years of caring for cats and to mark this momentous occasion, we ran a competition asking people to send in photos of their cat with something diamond related. We were dazzled by all the wonderful entries and asked our faithful Facebook friends to vote for their favourites.

We are super excited to reveal the winners and launch the Fabulous Felines collection, a very special and very sparkly set of limited-edition brooches celebrating our Diamond Anniversary!
