Our new community partner – Telstra Store Newtown

We are thrilled to announce our community partnership with Telstra Store Newtown. They will be supporting us with some great initiatives to help raise awareness of our important work and raising funds for our cats and kittens as well. They will be running an in-store promotion called ‘Our Bundles support Your Bundles’. For every Medium, Large or Extra Large bundle that Telstra Store Newtown sell and “Cat Protection Society” is mentioned, $25 will be donated to Cat Protection.

Speak up for pet-friendly strata!

If you support the proposed changes to NSW regulation that would make strata more pet-friendly, ASAP email your support to strataconsultation@finance.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions close 27 May. Cat Protection is delighted to support the public consultation draft Strata Schemes Management Regulation 2016 and we have sent this submission to the review. Your submission can be as simple as stating that you support the proposed model by-laws, which support keeping people and their pets together.

Great news for pets in strata

The NSW Government department of Fair Trading has released the Strata Schemes Management Regulation 2016 for public consultation.

Cat Protection is very happy to see the proposed regulation is PET-FRIENDLY!

That’s right – the new Act and Regulation will mean that pet-friendly strata schemes are the norm rather than the exception. This is great news for pets in strata.

The NSW Government Natural Resources Commission is calling for submissions on its “Pest animal management review” and the deadline of 18 May is fast approaching. We want to carefully consider the many ethical, scientific, veterinary and legal issues in our response to these proposals and this takes time.

New Opening Hours for Sundays

With so many kittens to cuddle we have decided to extend our Opening Hours!
